The town of Inveraray hosts a number of events throughout the year.

May is a particularly good time to visit the area and various events from fun runs to food and drink appreciation days take place throughout the month as part of our “Bluebell Festival”.

Later in the summer the hugely popular Inveraray Highland Games comes to town

The Duke & Duchess of Argyll. Open April through to October 10.00am until 4.00pm. Closed Fridays.

Inveraray Jail

Scotland’s 19th Century Living Prison. “Best Attraction of the Decade Oscar” winner.
From 9.30am until 5.00pm. Open Every Day.

The Bell Tower

The tower was built by the Duke of Argyll as a memorial to all sons of the Campbell Clan who fell in WWI. Its famous bells are the second heaviest in the world.

Inveraray Golf Course

Beautiful but challenging nine hole course on the outskirts of Inveraray, this par 70 course stretches over 5,598 yards and was opened in 1993 by the late 12th Duke of Argyll.
