Destination Wedding in Scotland

Your wedding is the most important day of your married life and it should be unforgettable for all the right reasons.

You and your friends and family will never forget a magical wedding ceremony at The Inveraray Inn, one of Scotland’s most famous and historic hotels.

A Stunning Argyll Wedding Venue

We know how important it is to capture amazing photos of your special day and our hotel is blessed with wonderful photography options: photos in the grounds of Inveraray Castle? standing at the head of Inveraray Pier? gazing over Loch Fyne? All this and more can be arranged.

The Inveraray Inn is truly one of the most unique wedding venues on the West Coast of Scotland – contact us today to organise a meeting with our wedding team.

The Reception

The Campbell Room

For large weddings the Campbell Room is ideal and is typically used for the main wedding breakfast.

The Campbell Room has natural daylight. The room can comfortably cater for 120 seated dinner guests, has a self-contained bar and a dais that lends itself to speeches, top tables and bands.

After all of your guests have eaten and the speeches are out of the way, our team will  quickly transform the Campbell Room into your ideal ceilidh / party venue allowing you and your family and friends to dance the night away!

The Dining Room

The Dining Room is a more intimate space than our Campbell Room with seating for 30-80 guests.

The room has high ceilings, original wooden floors and other original features which all come together to create a delightful, elegant feel.

With stunning views over Loch Fyne, many couples choose to use The Dining Room for their ceremony, keeping the Campbell Room available for the wedding breakfast. Some smaller wedding parties use The Dining Room for the wedding meal.

All of these details can be explored with our friendly and experienced weddings team.

Food & Feasting

At The Inveraray Inn, food is part of the celebration.

Whether you imagine a long banquet, relaxed sharing feasts, or something entirely your own, your wedding dining experience is designed around the atmosphere you want to create.

Exceptional ingredients. Beautiful presentation. A style that feels like you.

With signature cocktails, local ales and curated wines available, your drinks reception should feel joyful and unhurried — laughter ringing throughout the building, glasses raised against a Loch Fyne backdrop.

When Evening Comes

As the sun drops behind the mountains, the hotel transforms.

Cocktails in the bar. Music drifting through open doors. Ceilidh dancing in the Campbell Room.

A historic inn at night has a certain magic — and it’s entirely yours.

Photo & Ceremony Options

Inveraray Castle

We have a great relationship with the Argyll Estate and are happy to connect you to allow you to coordinate wedding photos (the Estate charge a modest fee and you must get their consent).

The castle is the ancestral home of Clan Campbell and the Dukes of Argyll and the castle is one of the finest in Scotland.

This stunning, iconic building and its grounds are in high demand for film and TV shoots (Downton Abbey Christmas Special, The Diplomat, A Very British Scandal to name but some). What better place to choose to have your wedding photos done?

Inveraray Pier

Inveraray Pier, and the Vital Spark steamer that is tied up there, are iconic landmarks of Scotland’s West Coast.

Now owned by the local community, the pier is available for wedding ceremonies and photographs (for a fee).

We can connect you if you would like to get photos or even have your ceremony conducted on the pier.

All Saints Church

A beautiful church just a few moments walk from the hotel (less than 200 metre). Many of our wedding couples tie the knot at this church.

Adjacent to the church is the Duke’s Tower, a 126 foot structure that dominates the skyline of the town and houses a pearl of 10 bells that are reportedly the heaviest and finest in all of Scotland.

With careful planning, couples can coordinate to exit the church to the sound of these amazing bells being run.

Inspired, not Overwhelmed

Planning should feel exciting, not complicated.

Our experienced wedding team are here to guide you, offering support and ideas while ensuring the day remains distinctly yours.
